“ I was passing through and got a hotel near the highway. I checked restaurants near me in Google map. I really didn’t want fast food or a chain. I found this restaurant and the woman at the front desk of the hotel said the food was great. I chose to sit on the large, wrap around front porch. It was just about sunset, there was a slightly cool breeze and the car traffic was very mild and not intrusive. The staff was amazing from the first moment to the last. Very accommodating and attentive. The hot rolls came out first. They were INCREDIBLE!! I ordered salmon and it was very nice. What a very unexpected great experience. ”
“ Such a delightful experience from start to finish. The owners are so friendly and our server was great. Love the vibe that the old house creates. Our children 2&8 shared the Chicken Alfredo, generous portion we took leftovers home. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and my husband ordered the Lobster Ravioli. Both delicious. ”
“ Wonderful food and staff! Our pickup order was messed up by no fault of the restaurant. They went above and beyond to help. Our food was delicious. Definitely recommend! ”
“ A delightful dining experience. The meatballs were moist and very tender in a tangy sauce. The shrimp Alfredo and chicken Alfredo were quite tasty. The veal parm was tender and had great flavor as did the veal marsala. Our server Priscilla was very nice and checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a great place to eat! ”
“ We were coming through Meridian headed home from vacation and googled to find restaurants for dinner. The reviews for Amore were great and they mentioned the nice atmosphere. We love Italian food, so we stopped and gave it a try. My husband had the Scaparelli with veal and I had the Murphy with chicken. Our waitress, Ashley, recommended both dishes and suggested penne with both. They were both outstanding, as well as the rolls, which are made in house. We had the Limoncello cake for dessert and it was delicious. We will definitely eat here again when in the area. Authentic, delicious food and a historic home atmosphere as well as a friendly and knowledgeable staff made our experience here wonderful. They also have a large front porch with outdoor seating. 5 stars for sure !! ”
“ Great piece of Italy in town in Meridian! Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in a historic Victorian home turned Ristorante and Bar! Nice front porch sitting. Excellent service. Great bar scene...there’s nothing not to love about Amore. The dining experience starts with unique drink options and fresh baked bread/rolls with butter and Parmesan on the bread and butter or oil & vinegar accompaniment. The Italian Margarita is surprisingly good. Sufficient wine list with a little variety for all. 1/2 off bottles on Wine Wednesday! The Italian house salad is fresh and cold. Lettuce, cheese olives and red onion. The mussels were good with a spicy, tomato broth. Perfect for dipping your bread in! Tonight we had the veal Marsala and Veal Parmesan. The Marsala was tender, cooked perfectly with mushrooms and spaghetti pasta. The Marsala sauce was tangy and good. The veal Parmesan was lightly breaded, crispy edges and tasty. Would order both dishes again. The pasta and marinara was good. They know how to cook Italian dishes in this kitchen. The tiramisu was excellent. Good balance of lady finger, mascarpone, espresso and cocoa, drizzled in chocolate. It’s worth the calories. Friendly service and a perfect dining experience. ”
“ My business partner and I were only in Meridian for a quick business trip but we were so glad we found this gem. Atmosphere was so nice, relaxed and homie. The food was amazing and the service matched. Thanks to the ladies with the smiling faces and kudos to the chef! I recommend this place to anyone. Stop in and try the Tour of Italy in order to get a little bit of 3 dishes! ”
“ Walking into Amore Italian ristorante & Bar in Meridian , was like stepping into the set of a modern-day Godfather scene—a place where every detail, from the lighting to the way the silverware glints under low-hung chandeliers, speaks of intention and precision. The air hums with the kind of quiet confidence you’d expect from a restaurant that knows exactly what it’s doing. The dark wood, the seating, and the old-world touches including portraits of GodFather scenes transport you out of the Deep South and straight into a corner of New York’s Little Italy. The staff moves like a well-rehearsed crew, their knowledge of the menu almost intimidating in its depth, guiding you through each course as if this was more ritual than meal. And then there’s the Old Fashioned—an absolute work of art. You sip, and for a moment, you forget that you’re in the heart of Mississippi. You could easily imagine Michael Corleone, suit crisp and eyes sharp, seated in the corner, surveying the room. The atmosphere is not just an accessory to the food but part of the experience itself. This isn’t just dinner; it’s an escape, a momentary transport to a world where tradition, taste, and presence rule the night. ”
